Bodog Mini-SOP

Bodog Poker is currently running the coolest online poker tournament series - the Bodog Mini-SOP! These tournaments mirror those of the World Series of Poker, but only cost 1/100th the buy-in!

The Mini-SOP is running from now until July 3rd, with a total of 25 tournaments to play. On top of the regular prizes that are paid for each tournament, everyone who finishes in the top 30% of any tournament will earn points that can help them win a $12,000 prize package including a main event seat for the real World Series of Poker! Players will be ranked according to how many points they accumulate during the Mini-SOP tournament series, then players ranked 5-100 will play a semifinal tournament on Tuesday, July 8th. On Thursday, July 10th, the top four finishers overall, the top 18 players from the semifinal tournament, plus 5 wild card players will battle it out for 3 WSOP main event seats, plus $2000 for traveling expenses! To qualify for the Wild Card seats, players only need to enter 3 Mini-SOP tournaments, regardless of how they finish.

Are you kidding? Many of us forget why we started playing poker to begin with - because it’s fun! It’s easy to get wrapped up in bankroll management, positive EV plays, learning to handle tilt, making profits, and so many other things that we often forget to have fun with it. The Bodog Mini-SOP is a great chance for those who can’t make it to the WSOP or afford the buy-ins to play in some fun tournaments, win some good money, and have a chance at a WSOP main event seat! FTOPS at Full Tilt seem to run every other month these days, the Pokerstars Sunday million is played every Sunday, and guaranteed tournaments of every kind can be found nightly…anywhere. This is a very unique tournament with reasonable buy-ins, big prize pools, and added excitement. It’s also a great way to stay in touch with what’s happening at the World Series of Poker and feel like your taking a little part in it.
