…20 points per raked hand, so it only takes 4.5 hands to clear $1 in bonus. As the stakes go up, clearing the bonus becomes even easier, earning as many as 40 points per raked hand.  Players must contribute to the pot in order to earn points. Small & big blinds do count as a contributed pot.

At micro-limit games it gets much tougher to clear the Doyles Room bonus. At a $.05/.10 FL or NL table, players earn .5 points per raked hand, which means that at these stakes, players must play 180 raked hands per $1 bonus. The minimum deposit required in order to receive a bonus is $25. The bonus is 110% of the deposit, so your bonus would be $27.50. If you make an initial deposit of $50, you’d be eligible for a $55 bonus. In order to clear a $55 bonus while playing a $.05/.10 table would require you to play 9,900 raked hands to clear the Doyles Room bonus. If you contribute to 40 hands per hour, it would take 247.5 hours to clear the bonus, which equals 1.5 months or work at a full-time job.

At stakes of $.50/1.00 or higher, clearing this bonus becomes reasonable. At $.50/1.00, players can clear a $55 bonus once they’ve played in 825 raked hands. If you play contribute to 40% of the pots and play 100 hands per hour, it would take 20.6 hours of play to clear the Doyles Room bonus, roughly 12 times faster than at stakes of $.05/.10.

In tournaments, players earn 40 Action Points per $1 in fee’s. That’s pretty reasonable, as every $2.25 that you pay in tournament fee’s earns $1 of your Doyles Room bonus.
