Absolute Poker Graphics & Software: Absolute Poker uses their own software, which works quite well after years of development. Recently they gave their table design an entirely new look that we really like. There are 3 table angles that players can choose from, and a new hand history function as well. No longer are people going to make fun of the Absolute Poker tables as these new ones are about as nice as they come.

Absolute Poker Cash Games: As we mentioned above, the traffic here is pretty good, and steadily improving at all stakes levels. Like every other room, most of the action is in Hold’em, but there is some Omaha developing as well. NL Hold’em stakes start at $.05/.10 and goes up to $50/100 although there isn’t much NL action above $5/10. Fixed limit hold’em ranges from $.02/.04 and goes up to $300/600. FL tables are busy up to $15/30, sometimes higher. Omaha games can be found up to $15/30 during peak hours, generally up to $3/6 during off-peak times. Competition is what we would consider to be industry average, not nearly as tough as it used to be at this room. That’s primarily due to 2 factors. First, the bonus used to be so difficult to clear that players sat like rocks trying to break even at the tables while they cleared their bonus. Absolute Poker Tournaments: Every Saturday at 4:30 pm EST Absolute Poker runs their $150,000 guaranteed tournament. It has a direct buy in of $500+30 or players can satellite in for as little as 4000 Absolute Rewards Points, or $15 cash. Once a month, Absolute Poker ups the ante by replacing the $150,000 guaranteed with a $250,000 guaranteed. The buy in is the same, and players can satellite into the tournament for the same prices as well. These tournaments have the same structure which is 5,000 starting chips, 10 minute blinds that go like this: 10/20, 15/30/ 20/40, 30/60, 40/80, 50/100, 60/120, 75/150, 100/200, 100/200 + 25 ante, 150/300 + 25 ante, 200/400 + 50 ante, 250/500 + 50 ante, 300/600 + 50 ante, 400/800 + 75 ante, 500/1000 + 75 ante. You get the picture, the structure is nice and slow, allowing better players to rise to the top.

The $75,000 guaranteed Absolute Poker tournament is run every Sunday at 8:00 pm EST, with a direct buy in of $150+12, or satellite into the tournament for as little as 400 Absolute Rewards Points, or $2 cash. This tournament has the same structure as the $150,000 & $250,000 guaranteed tournaments.

The $100,000 guaranteed Absolute Poker Bounty Tournament is run every Wednesday at 9:00 pm EST with a direct buy in of $1000+50, or satellite tournaments can be played for as little as 800 Absolute Rewards Points, or $5 cash. If you get lucky enough to knock out back to back WSOP bracelet winner Mark Seif, you win the $1000 bounty prize. Players start with 10,000 in chips and the blind structure is great. This tournament has the same blind structure as the ones listed above, except twice as many chips. You can play for 2 hours before the blinds even reach 200/400.

Absolute Poker Sit and Go Tournaments: Absolute Poker has a wonderful variety of sit and go tournaments. They’re offered in 6 or 9 player, single table formats in regular, turbo, and super turbo speeds. There are also multi-table sit and go tournaments in 2, 3, 4, or 5 table formats. All sit and go tournaments start at just $.50 +.10 and go up to $1000 + $50. Heads-up tournaments start at $5 + .25 and go up to $1000 + $30. All sit and go tournaments are busy up to the $100 + 9 range. Games at higher levels can be found, but peak hours are much easier above the $100 + 9 level.

Satellite sit and go tournaments for major, live events such as WSOP & WPT are also available. These sit and go tournaments are usually in the $20 - $76 range. These buy-ins apply to most of the big, guaranteed tournament satellites held at Absolute Poker as well.
